'ODBC Resource DLL Is a Different Version' Message

Symptoms

The message "ODBC Resource DLL Is a Different Version" when you try to run dtSearch.

Cause

ODBC is not installed correctly.

Many different Microsoft products install ODBC versions (dtSearch does not install any ODBC files) and sometimes the versions of the various components can get confused. The message appears in dtSearch because dtSearch uses ODBC to access databases, but this is not a dtSearch error message.
