Fonts and text size

To change the font size used in dialog boxes, click Options > Dialog box font size.  By default, dtSearch will use the operating system font size.

To change the font used in the Search dialog box to display the search request and the scrolling word list, click Options > Preferences > Search Options.

To change the font size used in a document window, press Ctrl+Plus and Ctrl+Minus to zoom in or out, or you can hold down the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.  You can also press Ctrl+Shift+Up and Ctrl+Shift+Down to zoom in and out.

To change the default font used to display a retrieved document, or to change the way hits are highlighted, click Options > Preferences > Document Display.  (The default font will not affect documents that contain their own font information, such as Word documents.)  By default, hits are highlighted in yellow, but you can also add bold, italics, or underlining here.

To change the font used to display search results, click Options > Preferences > Search Results.

Content Navigation

"Report View" provides a more condensed view of the document, with just the hits and a user-specified amount of content.  To generate a report of all or selected documents, click Search > Search Report.   To view the current document in report view (or toggle back to full text) click View > Report or press Ctrl+R.

To sort search results without clicking a column header, click View > Sort by and select a sorting option from the menu.

To add checkboxes to search results, making it easier to select multiple items to copy or include in a search report, click Options > Preferences > Search Results

The "Index finder" in the Search dialog box lets you select an index to search by pressing Ctrl+F and typing part of the index name.  To enable the index finder, click Options > Preferences > Search Options.

dtSearch Web/dtSearch Publish

dtSearch Web and dtSearch Publish use a web browser and HTML so accessibility features will depend on the HTML content of the search forms and the browser used for searching.  For technical information on the HTML implementation of the dtSearch Web/Publish user interface, please see:

dtSearch Engine

The dtSearch Engine API has no user interface so accessibility features are entirely controlled by the calling application.
