Verifying an Index

Menu option: Index > Index Manager > Verify Index

To verify that an index is in good condition, click the Verify button in the Index Manager dialog box.  As dtSearch examines the index, it will list every word, filename, and directory name in the index.  When dtSearch is done verifying the index, it will tell you whether the index has been damaged.

To verify multiple indexes, click the Update Multiple Indexes button in the Index Manager dialog box, select the indexes to verify, and click the Verify button.  dtSearch will verify all of the selected indexes and will generate an HTML report listing the condition of each index.  Click View Log to view the result.
